Clearer names, one back button
Buttons in your book now say what they remove, a passage opened from a note or question shows a single back link, and names match across menus.
Improved
- A passage opened from a note, a question or a pasted-text check now shows one back link, such as “Back to Story notes”, instead of two.
- Remove buttons say what they remove: “Remove character”, “Remove this note” and “Remove relationship”.
- The comments toggle reads “Show comments” or “Hide comments”.
- The page opened by “Check pasted text” now has that title, and the Index filter counts read “All · 11 names” to show they count names.
- “Show in manuscript” from a story note now lands on the item that belongs to that note, and a place in the Context list is marked as a place.
- Recent changes has a back link on wide windows, and the manuscript list no longer stretches its row menus far from the names on wide screens.
- At your plan’s book limit, “New book” steps back so the upgrade link is the clear next move, and the “This check isn’t on your plan” note now links to upgrade.
- Document processing no longer pauses between steps once a step has finished.
Fixed
- The download in Book settings is now called “Download questions”, matching the menu, and the menu link takes you straight to that section.
- The download for your book data is now labeled “Data file (.json)”.
- Counts in Story notes no longer pop in and shift the page as they load.
- Characters who share only a first name, such as John Smith and John Jones, are no longer combined into one character in future extractions, and a name is no longer picked up from part of a longer name. Characters already in your book are not changed.
